BINALBAGAN, Negros Occidental (DWDD) – Sixty (60) members of the terrorist group New People’s Army (NPA) voluntarily surrendered to the 62nd Infantry “Unifier” Battalion in Negros Occidental.

According to Lt. Col. Egbert Dacoscos, Commanding Officer, 62IB, the surrenderees came from two barangays from the town Binalbagan in Negros Occidental.

LTC Dacoscos added that the rebel returnees have already took their Oath of Allegiance, promising to totally end their terroristic activities under the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Some of the surrenderees surrender corresponding firearms enabling them to receive renumeration under the balik-baril program. 62IB / MCAG
