CAMP GEN EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City (DWDD) – Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Carlito Galvez Jr. has announced that a major revamp among the officers and personnel of the AFP Health Services.

 

This is after the discovery of the anomalous P1.5-Bilion ghost deliveries of Medical Equipment for the V Luna Medical Center.

According to Gen Galvez, the revamp has to be implemented to resolve the long-time issue of corruption in the said unit and while the investigation is underway. He assured the public that only officials and personnel with integrity and does not prioritize money over work would be retained or installed at the AFPHS.

The AFPs action is a manifestation of Gen Galvez’s assumption speech that he will not tolerate corruption in the organization.

Meanwhile, Gen Galvez clarified that BGen Edwin Leo Torrelavega, former chief of the AFPHS, was relieved due to command responsibility, while the other officers were sacked because of their involvement on the anomaly. AES / MCAG
