FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO, Taguig City (DWDD) – The Philippine Army recently activated the Office of the Army Financial Management in a simple ceremony on August 01, 2018 at Ricarte Hall, Philippine Army Officers Clubhouse, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Metro Manila with the Vice Commander Major General Robert M Arevalo AFP as presiding officer.

The Office of the Army Financial Management shall serve as the adviser of the Commanding General, PA on matters pertaining to budget and fiscal operations and shall also facilitate the execution of the Army appropriated and non-appropriated funds. The activation simplifies the process and management of the Philippine Army financial and budgeting system which were formerly being undertaken by the Management and Fiscal Office and Army Resource Management Office.

Other important functions of the OAFM are the formulation and preparation of the Annual PA Budget Proposal and Budgetary requirements, development of PA Annual Plan and Budget and operationalization of the Program and Budget Advisory Boards and Committees.

This initiative is part of the Army’s continuous improvement of its system and processes and in pursuit of transformation effort to be a world class Army by 2028. OACPA / MCAG
