From the Manila Bulletin (Jul 30): No. 2 ranked felon apprehended in Rizal
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna- The joint police have arrested a suspected member of the New People’s Army (NPA) facing murder case and with P.5 million reward on his head at Barangay Pinugay, in Baras, Rizal, Police Regional Office 4A (PRO4A), reported, Monday.
PRO4 regional director Edward Carranza identified the accused as Raul Razo, alias Ka Jade.
Based on police records Razo was rank no. 2 regional level of most wanted felon in PRO4A, with affiliation with the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) New People’s Army (NPA)/NDRMFB4A Carranza said that around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday joint Regional Mobile Force Battalion in CALABARZON, Laguna and Rizal Police Office and Regional Intelligence Unit 4A conducted operation against Razo at Block 54, Phase 1, South Ville 9, Barangay Pinugay in Baras, Rizal.
Reports added that the accused did not resist after lawmen surrounded his lair.
Accordingly, the reward money was covered by Department of National Defense-Department of the Interior and Local Government (DND-DILG) joint order number 14-20112 by virtue of the warrant of arrest for the crime of murder.
