The Zamboanga City Indigenous Peoples Sports Association (ZCIPSA) in partnership with 4th Civil Relations Group, CRSAFP will conduct its first ever project “Ball for Peace”, a Basketball competition which will be participated by IPs sector from different Tribes namely Yakan, Kolibogan, Sama-Badjao, Subanon and Sama-Bangingi.
A screening for basketball game from ages 19 - 30 as Senior and ages 13 -18 as Junior initiated by ZCIPSA President, Haj. Nasir Ismula; COL JOSE VICTOR L... VARGAS JR, 4CRG, Group Commander; Hon. Roel “Elong” Natividad, BAP National President; Engr. George Jocutan, OIC - NCIP; assisted by different Ingenious Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) held at Headquarters 4th Civil Relations Group, CRSAFP, Camp Don Basalio Navarro, Zamboanga City last 08 July 2018.
The primary purpose of the creation of ZCIPSA is to promote solidarity and camaraderie among IPs of different tribes and other ethnic groups within the region as well as to encourage the youth to join in such sports or event to prevent them from engaging in illegal activities.
The tournament will be on August 19, 2018 that will start with a Motorcade from Paseo del Mar with different tribal presentation highlighting the rich culture of IPs of Zamboanga Peninsula and will officially open at City Coliseum Brgy. Tetuan, Zamboanga City.
