DWDD: TRADITIONAL ACCEPTANCE | PMAAAI-PN Welcomes PMA Alab Tala

MARINE BARRACKS RUDIARDO BROWN, Fort Andres, Taguig City (DWDD) The Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Incorporated – Philippine Navy Chapter (PMAAAI-PN) welcomed the sixty-eight (68) members of the PMA “Alab Tala” Class of 2018 during the chapter General Assembly last April 26, 2018 at the Philippine Navy Officers’ Club inside Marine Barrack Rudiardo Brown (MBRB), Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. Of these officers, 52 joining the Fleet while 16 will be with the Marine Corps.

 

These Ensigns and 2nd Lieutenants experienced the traditional acceptance to the community of PMAers in the Philippine Navy. It was culminated with the ceremonial handshakes from the upperclass corps who are wishing them the best of the careers in the Navy with the right guidance from the Corps Values of the institution and with the PMA motto of “Courage, Integrity and Loyalty”.

 

Similarly, same event was also the culmination of the tenure of the officers and community chairmen of the PMAAAI-PN Chapter CY 2017-2018 which proudly led by Commo Albert A Cruz AFP as the outgoing Chapter President. Commo Cruz shared the association’s projects for the recent year and thanked the association for a fruitful year that it has become. He was properly relieved by the former 1st Vice President Col Eugenio V Hernandez PN(M)(GSC) of Class of ’89.



With the representation by a classical wooden gavel, they passed on the leadership administered by Rear Admiral Gaudencio C Collado Jr AFP, the Deputy Chief of the Navy. Col Hernandez advocates for a more responsive association that would go an extra mile in reaching out for its members and to the community as well.



Col Hernandez congratulated the members of Alab Tala class for hurdling their cadet years and be part of the alumni association but at teh same time posted a challenge to live and serve the Philippine Navy within the rays of the PMA’s “Courage, Integrity, Loyalty”.  NPAO / MCAG
