PALAWAN (DWDD) – Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff Gen Eduardo Ano personally presided over the Change of Command Ceremony of the AFP Western Command (WesCom) last Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Western Command Parade Ground in Palawan.
LTG Raul del Rosario, Commander, WesCom, passed on the command and leadership of WesCom to MGen Galileo Gerard Kintanar Jr.
LTG Del Rosario leaves behind a legacy of personal and hands-on leadership that saw WesCom meet its mission objectives with flying colors.
MGen Kintanar took over command following his stints as Wing Commander of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) 15th Strike Wing and lately, of the Air Education, Training and Doctrines Command (AETDC) based in Lipa City. His exposure and long experience as both Tactical Commander and head of the AETDC prepared him well to lead our nation’s premier unit at the western front.
The CSAFP, General Año praised and thank LTG Del Rosario for his service to the nation and called on MGen Kintanar to lead with the same dedication and focus if not more. He called on everyone at WESCOM to continue to work as a team and keep mission focus at all times. PAO AFP / MCAG
