From the Philippine News Agency (Mar 17): Retirement honors given to PNP's 2nd top official

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Friday granted retirement honors to PNP Deputy Director General for Administration Francisco Uyami, Jr., the PNP's second highest official.

According to PNP Public Information Office (PIO) chief and spokesman Senior Supt. Dionardo Carlos, the retirement honors for Uyami in Camp Crame, Quezon City were for his mandatory retirement on March 19, 2017 upon reaching the age of 56.

PNP Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario is expected to assume the position to be vacated by Uyami.

The position of Deputy Director General for Operations, the third top-most position in the PNP, will be taken over by Deputy Director General Fernando Mendez, Jr.

This will leave vacant the fourth highest PNP position, that of The Chief Directorial Staff (TCDS).

The candidates for the position of TCDS are PNP chief Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa's "mistahs", or classmates at the Philippine Military Academy (PMA), Police Director Archie Gamboa of the Directorate for Comptrollership (DC) and Police Director Ramon Purugganan of the Directorate for Personnel Records and Management (DPRM).
