From CNN Philippines (Nov 30): Police arrest suspect in foiled bombing near U.S. Embassy



Bulacan police confirmed the arrest of the suspect who left the improvised explosive device (IED) near the U.S. Embassy on Monday.

Police said the suspect, Rayson Kilala Sacdal, also known as Rashid Kilala, was arrested in a an operation in Bulacan at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Another suspect is also now under police custody.

The arrest comes a day after Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa released the computerized facial composite of the suspect.

The bomb was discovered early Monday morning by a streetsweeper.

The police earlier said the IED found near the U.S. Embassy was similar in design to the bomb used in an explosion in Davao in September that killed 15 people.
