From the Philippine Information Agency (Nov 16): CCPD to hold Peace Forum
In line with this year’s Mindanao Week of Peace (MWOP) celebration, the Caraga Conference for Peace and Development (CCPD) is set to hold a Peace Forum on Nov. 30, 2016 at the San Lorenzo Ruiz Training Center, Ampayon, this city.
CCPD/MWOP co-convenor Most Rev. Juan De Dios Pueblos cited that Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Caraga thru regional director Abner Caga is one of the panel reactors of the said forum with the topic “Update on the issues and concerns of Indigenous Peoples and its direction.”
“With this year’s theme ‘Protect and Respect Life,’ series of activities are organized with the objective of promoting peace and development by forging a culture of harmony and solidarity among the Christians, Lumads and Muslim community in Mindanao,” disclosed Bishop Pueblos.
The good bishop also revealed that some 500 individuals coming from the government and non-government institutions, religious sector and private sector are expected to participate in the peace forum. .
