From the Journal Online (Apr 6): Councilor bet shot dead
ABRA -- A candidate for councilor of Licuan town was shot dead by alleged members of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Bgy. Bayabas, Ma-libcong, here, at 1:45 p.m. on April 5, 2016.
Police Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-COR) public information office chief Supt. Cherry Fajardo identified the victim as Crispin Magwellang, of Baay, Licuan, Abra.
Members of the Malibcong Municipal Police Station are conducting a follow-up investigation into the incident.
