From the Philippine News Agency (Jan 18): PAF MD-500E/R light utility helicopter up for maintenance

In line with efforts to ensure that all of its aircraft are mission worthy at all times, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) is placing one of its MD-500E/R light utility helicopters for repair and maintenance.

Budget for this project is placed at Php3,200,000.

Pre-bid conference is on Jan. 21, 9 a.m. at the PAFPAF Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.

Submission and opening of bids is on Feb. 2, 9 a.m. at the same venue.The MD-500 series is an American family of light utility civilian and military helicopters.

It is developed from the Hughes 500, a civilian version of the US Army's OH-6A Cayuse/Loach. The series currently includes the MD-500E, MD-520N, and MD-530F.
