For his efforts in improving and strengthening the
partnership of the Philippine and Indonesia
The AFP chief received the award from his Indonesian
counterpart General DR. Moeldoko in a ceremony at Tentara National Indonesia
(TNI) headquarters in Jakarta ,
Indonesia
The award, also known as the Defense Meritorious Service
Star, is the highest recognition granted to foreign nationals for invaluable
services rendered not only to the Tentara National Indonesia/National Defense
Armed Forces but also to the Republic
of Indonesia
Recipients of the award had contributed particularly in the
promotion, advancement and development of the TNI, the armed forces of the Republic of Indonesia
The award also signifies the strong bond between the Philippines and Indonesia
