Army recruitment opens in May

FORT RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija, April 23 (PNA) — The Philippine Army opens its doors for aspiring soldiers as the 7th Infantry Division (7ID) based here announced Wednesday the schedule for recruitment.

Capt. Mark Ruelos, head of the 7ID public information office, said that application shall be open on May 11 to 19 at exactly 8 a.m. at the command’s covered court near the headquarters here.

No application after such dates will be entertained, Ruelos said.

The applicants are advised that all documents (original copy) must be placed in a green folder with proper tabbing containing the following: whole body picture colored (3×5) white background, bio-data with 2×2 ID picture, original copy of NSO birth certificate with official receipt, original copy of marriage contract of parents with official receipt, certificate of legal beneficiaries, original transcript of records (TOR) for college/vocational or 137 & 138 (high school) with visible school dry seal;

Diploma (with school dry seal), PAATB result (official result authenticated by the examiner), PME result (authenticated and signed by the PFT officer), drug test result, HEPA test result, local clearances: (barangay, police, mayor, RTC, NBI clearance, affidavit of being single, and original copy of NSO CENOMAR with official receipt.

Meanwhile the qualifications for candidate soldiers are the following: for priority candidates in filing up the CS quota: qualified professionals, graduate of MS43 and advance ROTC, college graduate, with 72 units and up in college, high school graduate but possessing at least two technical/vocational skills needed by AFP.

For the basic criteria and qualification for acceptance and selection of CS applicants the requirements are the following: natural born citizen, at least 18-26 years old and must not be 27 years old or older on or before the date of appointment as candidate soldier (age waiver is no longer issued by the command), at least 5’0 or 60” inches in height (male/female), unmarried and without a child, possesses good moral character, PAATB score of at least 80 percent, physical and mentally fit for military training.

In line with the Army Transformation Roadmap (ATR), Ruelos said the Philippine Army recruits the finest among applicants for candidate soldiers to ensure the recruitment of only the best and the brightest for a world class Army that is a source of national pride by 2028 onwards.
