To ensure that all of its UH-1H "Huey" helicopters
are combat and mission ready at all times, the Philippine Air Force (PAF)
announced that it is setting aside PhP22.6 million for the acquisition of spare
parts for the power plants of the aircraft.
Bid opening is slated at 9 a.m. on March 11 at the PAF
Procurement Center Conference Room, Villamor Air Base, Pasay City .
Prospective bidders should have an experience in similar
project within the last five years.
The PAF is known to operate 30 to 40 "Huey" units.
It is being utilized for air support, transportation and medical evacuation
missions.
It also plays a key role in the country's humanitarian
assistance and disaster relief efforts during natural and man-made calamities.
