Officers and enlisted personnel of the Davao City-based
Eastern Mindanao Command rendered full military honors on Saturday to Lt. Gen.
Aurelio Baladad whose three-star rank was confirmed by the Commission on
Appointments last March 18.
Baladad was promoted to lieutenant general in November 2014.
Prior to his assumption as Eastern Mindanao Command head
last Sept. 6, he was the deputy chief-of-staff for operations (J-3) and
commander of the 3rd Infantry Division in the Visayas.
Baladad vowed to continue the government's ongoing peace and
development campaigns so that the New People's Army (NPA) rebels' presence in
the EMC area of jurisdiction will be totally eradicated.
