Abducted Sulu teacher freed after ‘negotiations’

From GMA News (Mar 11): Abducted Sulu teacher freed after ‘negotiations’

A Sulu teacher who was abducted Tuesday was released before dawn Wednesday, after "negotiations" by her relatives, local police said.

Teacher Allyn Muksan Abdurajak, 44, was released at about 3:30 a.m., GMA News stringer Peewee Bacuño reported.

Citing a report from the Sulu provincial police, Bacuño said Abdurajak, a high school teacher of the Jolo School of Fisheries, was released safely to her immediate family in Barangay Kajatian in Indanan town.

An initial investigation showed the teacher was abducted by two armed men Tuesday evening.

It was not immediately clear if ransom was paid for her release.
