From Ang Malaya (Mar 11): 2015 Nationwide information campaign on West PHL Sea issue begins

The Department of Foreign Affairs and the Philippine Information Agency kicked-off the nationwide information, education and communication campaign on the West Philippine Sea issue in Camp Lapulapu, Cebu City, Cebu.

Approximately a hundred participants including students, national and local government unit representatives, uniformed personnel, and members of press, business and academic communities attended the Multi-Sectoral Forum Tuesday, March 10.

DFA Spokesperson Assistant Secretary Charles C. Jose briefed participants on the West Philippine Sea Issue. His presentation focused on the core issues, the overarching principles that guide Philippine response to the issues, and the steps that are being undertaken by the Philippine Government to address the disputes.

The Multi-Sectoral Forum on West Philippine Sea is an expanded version of the Special Kapihan ng Mamamayan on the West Philippine Sea which was held last year in the cities of Olongapo, Puerto Princesa and Iloilo. Similar events will be conducted across the country throughout 2015.
