From the Philippine Star (Sep 24): Reds storm Bukidnon quarry
BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – Suspected New People’s Army (NPA) guerrillas raided a quarry and torched equipment in Valencia City, Bukidnon on Saturday, the military reported yesterday.
Maj. Christian Uy, spokesperson for the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, said at least 30 armed rebels arrived at the site reportedly operated by the Limbo Construction Co. in Barangay Nabag-o.
Uy said the rebels, allegedly belonging to the NPA Guerilla Front 6, burned two payloaders and a dump truck before fleeing.
