The Balikatan 2014 war games saw the participation of a small group of 60 Australian defense forces joining thousands of Filipinos and American troops in maritime security and humanitarian assistance and disaster response activities.
"This is the first
that we've had the opportunity to participate... We look forward to potentially
getting the invitation to participate again next year," Australian defense
force Commander Nicolas Pratt told reporters after a live fire exercise in
Tarlac.
