From InterAksyon (May 28): 2 ex-rebels shot dead in Alabang
Two former rebels were shot dead Tuesday by a motorcycle-riding pair couple near the public market in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, city police chief Senior Supt. Allan Nobleza said Wednesday.
He identified the victims as George Acero and Romeo Dacles, former leaders of the Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade (RPA-ABB).
The two sustained bullet wounds in the back.
The RPA-ABB was a faction of the New People’s Army (NPA) that later entered into a peace agreement with the government. The NPA tagged the group as the liquidation squad of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) that also served as the private army of political warlords.
