The army’s 4th Infantry Division here started a series of peace dialogue in various barangays to strengthen the peace and security of this premier capital of
Capt. Christian Uy, spokesperson of the army’s Public Affairs Division, said that the peace dialogue headed by the army’s “Bayanihan Alert for Peace and Development Teams” has started Friday afternoon in Barangay Lapasan.
On Friday afternoon, the dialogue was in Barangay Consolacion and on March 23, the team would move to Barangay Macabalan, in Barangay Bugo on March 25 and on March 26 in Barangay Cugman, Uy added.
Uy said that the dialogue aims to inform the role of the local constituents in maintaining peace and working together in the spirit of volunteerism to attain a lasting peace in the community.
He said that resource persons and representatives from the city government would join the series of dialogue to answer issues and concerns raised by the local residents.
According to Uy, the series of peace dialogue would also serve as an appropriate venue to disseminate information about the various government programs and the basic services extended by the government to the people.
