Army needs 190 new soldiers

From the Visayan Daily Star (Feb 7): Army needs 190 new soldiers

The Army’s 3rd Infantry Division is now accepting qualified applicants to join the profession of arms.

Maj. Rey Tiongson, 3ID spokesman, yesterday said that they are now selecting the best and most qualified applicants who will compose the new batch of Candidate Soldiers who will undergo a military training for enlistment as regular members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

Tiongson said 190 of the applicants will be selected by the Philippine Army Selection Board to compose the next batch of Candidate Soldiers to undergo a 6-month military training at 3ID Division Training School in Jamindan, Capiz.

A mobile Pre-Screening Team will conduct interviews for qualified applicants on Feb. 7 to 9 at Camp Kilat in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, and Feb. 11 to 13 at Camp Gerona in Brgy. Minoyan, Murcia, Negros Occidental.

Applicants must bring the folder with tabbing of the following requirements upon reporting to the abovementioned units and venue a colored 3R whole body picture, resume with 2x2 ID picture, original NSO birth certificate and marriage contract of parents, certificate of legal beneficiaries, transcript of records, diploma, among others.
