The Philippine Army is set to participate in this year's PH-US Amphibious Landing Exercise (PHIBLEX) at
This will take place from Sept. 17 to 26.
PH-US PHIBLEX is an annual bilateral training exercise between Philippine Marine Corps, Philippine Navy and US Marines Forces Pacific.
The training focuses on enhancing the competencies and interoperability of both forces in amphibious, special operations and combined arms operations.
Additionally, PHIBLEX aims to foster strong relationships among the participants who are to undergo combined arms operation-artillery live fire training.
In this kind of training, the participants will improve their war fighting capabilities through simulated live scenarios in a pre-orchestrated field where they shall attempt to hit on their pretend target enemies and fire live bullets.
Bilateral exercises are done to facilitate technical skills and knowledge exchanges between two participating parties.
