186 soldiers in Davao undergo random drug testing

From the Philippine News Agency (Apr 10): 186 soldiers in Davao undergo random drug testing

A total of 186 troops from the 10th Infantry Division underwent random drug testing at their headquarters in Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr. at Barangay Tuboran, Mawab, Compostela Valley on Tuesday.

Lt. Col. Lyndon Paniza, 10th ID spokesperson, said that out of the 186, 37 of them are officials.

"In relation to our President's Security Sector Reform, the armed forces conducted a check on the soldiers. Our chief-of-staff then created the Task Force Moses where part of the programs is conducting random drug testing," Paniza said.

The results, however, are yet to be released but the Army are bent on prosecuting any soldier who will test positive for illegal drugs use.
