The Philippine Air Force on Friday unveiled its first ever locally maintained aircrafts and ground assets at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City as part of the P579.4 million PAF maintenance program. During the event, high-ranking officials, led by PAF Commanding General Lt. Gen. Lauro Catalino Dela Cruz, simultaneously poured champagne at the re-conditioned aircrafts, which include a C-130B military transport plane, LC-210 Cessna plane and UH-1H Huey helicopter. Likewise, the officials presented to the public, 12 units of M-35 military trucks, which according to them, will improve the military's overall ground mobility, especially during disaster response. The maintenance program, which is done within either a three-year or five-year interval, consists of a comprehensive battery of inspection and preventive maintenance actions to ensure the aircrafts' air worthiness. Currently, PAF has at least three C130s in its inventory.
