For the purpose of strengthening the navy-to-navy ties between India and countries of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) region, Indian Naval Ship (INS) Sudarshini is taking a historic ASEAN voyage from September 2012 to March 2013.In line with this, The Commanding Officer of INS
Sudarshini, Commander N Shyamsunder and his party visited Headquarters
Philippine Navy (HPN) and paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Naval Staff,
Commodore Jesus C Millan last December 24, 2012. INS Sudarshini, a
54-meter long naval vessel arrived in Manila last December 10, 2012 and stayed
in-port for two weeks.
