Victims of NPA atrocities given decent burial in Butuan
BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – The Region 13 police led by Chief Superintendent Carmelo Valmoria gave a decent burial on Monday morning to the skeletal remains of 10 supposed victims of New People’s Army (NPA) atrocities in the Caraga region. The mass burial was held at the Chinese Cemetery in Barangay Bancasi here, attended by Office of the Peace Adviser of the Peace Process director Enrico de la Torre. Of the 10 victims, only two were identified as Sonny Boy Plaza, 15, and Olong Mantoligco, 38.
