From the Philippine Information Agency (Oct 4): Reintegration assistance released for former rebels

CATARMAN, Northern Samar--A total of P445,000 was released for 12 former rebels operating in the province of Northern Samar as reintegration assistance. Major Ron Cutillon of the 803rd Infantry (Peacemaker) Brigade of the 8th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army said the assistance is part of the Comprehensive Local Integration Program of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process.... Since the inception of LSIP last August 10, 2011, 24 former NPA regulars, four former militia and one Batakang Organisasyong Pampartido (Basic Party Branch) have availed of the integration program....
