From the Manila Standard Today (Oct 6): Asean, China agree to resolve conflicts on WPH Sea

China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) on Friday agreed to work within the framework of international laws, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (Unclos) and the Declaration on the Code of Conduct, to ease the increasing tension in the West Philippine Sea (South China Sea). In a press briefing,Vietnamese Deputy Foreign Minister Pham Quang Vinh admitted that the territorial disputes in the West Philippines Sea were brought up and discussed by the delegates and the 10-regional-bloc during the First Asean Expanded Maritime Forum hosted by the Philippine government at the Manila Hotel....
