The signed framework agreement between the government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) has not resulted to the termination of cases currently being handled by the Coordination Committee on the Cessation of Hostilities (CCCH) resulting from violations committed both by the Muslim rebels and government security forces, a senior military said Wednesday. Brig. Gen. Leo Ferrer, senior military adviser to the government peace process panel, also pointed out that both the GPH and MILF peace panels have yet to tackle the all-out justice order issued by President Benigno S. Aquino III in response to the Oct. 18, 2011 Al Barka, Basilan carnage that left 19 Special Forces and Scout Ranger troops killed by combined Abu Sayyaf bandits and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels. “It has not been discussed. That’s a different track. It hasn’t been mentioned. What I know is, it will be part of the transitional justice process wherein we will correct the defects, correct the injustice on both sides. We need to have closure,” Ferrer said. But at this stage, Ferrer said all the cases with the CCCH are still active, particularly the Al-Barka incident, which happened exactly one year today....
