LOOK | The Tactical Operations Wing Western Mindanao (TOW WestMin), led by BGEN ROCKY J BINAG PAF, successfully facilitated the surrender of an Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) member in Sulu on January 09, 2024.
The ASG member was involved in armed conflicts with government troops in the Talipao, Sulu hinterlands. He chose to surrender in order to live a normal life and reintegrate into society after going into hiding for years as a result of the Joint Task Force Sulu, now known as Joint Task Force Orion, conducting persistent, targeted military operations. A Garand Springfield Rifle was turned over during the surrender.The Tactical Operations Wing Western Mindanao, the Philippine Army, the Philippine National Police, and Joint Task Force Orion all worked together on this mission.
