From Kalinaw News (Aug 4, 2022): WILDCAT TROOPERS sustain relief efforts in the hinterlands of Abra



FORT MAGSAYSAY, Nueva Ecija – The 24th Infantry ‘Wildcat’ Battalion, Philippine Army, in collaboration with its partner agencies Department of Social Works and Development – Abra, Local Government Units, and Philippine National Police once again facilitated the hauling of relief items for the earthquake-affected families on July 30, 2022.

With the aid of Tactical Group Operations 1 and 2 of Philippine Air Force based in Laokan, Baguio City and Cauayan Isabela, the troops successfully transported Four Thousand Seven Hundred Eighty Family Food Packs (FFP) in Daguioman, Boliney, Bucloc, Lacub, Malibcong, Tubo and Luba, all of Abra utilizing the recently 5 acquired Helicopters from the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Lieutenant Colonel Ricardo GB Garcia III, Commanding Officer of 24IB, believes that the collaborative effort of all government agencies and instrumentalities will result to the immediate recovery of the Abrenians from the natural disaster.

In his statement, Major General Andrew D Costelo, Commanding General of 7th Infantry (Kaugnay) Division assures that the troops are always ready to maximize the resources of the division to help the victims of the recent calamity.
