From Kalinaw News (Aug 10, 2022): BREAKING NEWS | 1 NPA killed, firearms seized in Neg Occ encounter
A member of the CPP-NPA terrorist was killed and one (1) M16 rifle seized in an encounter between the troops of the 94th Infantry (Mandirigma) Battalion, 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army and the terrorist group in the hinterlands of So. Bulasot, of Brgy Buenavista, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental on August 10, 2022, 9:30 a.m..
This, after the troops, conducted a combat operation in the area after receiving reliable information from the local populace on the presence of NPAs conducting extortion activity in the adjacent Barangay.
