Philippine Army, Indonesian Army wrap up site survey, planning exercise for TA DOLPHINE XIV-2022
The Philippine Army and the Indonesian Army wrapped up on April 1, 2022 the four-day site survey and planning conference for Training Activity Indonesia-Philippines (TA DOLPHINE XIV-2022) in Jakarta, Indonesia.
TA DOLPHINE XIV-2022, which was approved during the 27th Indonesian Army-Philippine Army Working Group Meeting, will focus on the exchange of information, tactics, technics and procedures in the conduct of counterinsurgency operations.
The 14th iteration of exercise will be conducted physically on June 6 to 17, 2022 at the Taipur Military Camp, CIlodong and Sangga Buana Training Site, Karawang, West Java, Indonesia. It can be recalled that the Philippine Army's First Scout Ranger Regiment and the Indonesian Army's Strategic Command held the TA DOLPHINE XIII-2021 via video teleconferencing in November last year due to pandemic restrictions. Last year's iteration of the combined bilateral exercise between the two armies focused on urban and jungle warfare special operations.
FSRR Chief of Staff Col. Samuel G. Yunque and Indonesian Army’s 17th Para Raider Infantry Brigade Commander Col. Fendri Navyanto Raminta led the site inspection and conference planning activity. The two officers highlighted importance of conducting bilateral combined exercise between the Philippines and Indonesia because the two countries share not just borders but common regional security interests as well.
