On March 31, 2022, 10th Infantry “Agila” Division Commander MGen Nolasco A Mempin together with 1001st Brigade Commander BGen Jesus P Durante III, and 60IB Commander Lt Col Merrill C Sumalinog welcome the surrender of Guerilla Front 3 (GF3) Secretary Maximo Catarata alias MC/MAKATINDOG/ TINDOGAN at 60IB headquarters in Asuncion, Davao del Norte.
The surrender of Catarata was made possible through the effort of Davao del Norte Governor Edwin I Jubahib.
Meanwhile, prior to Catarata’s surrender, on March 29, 2022, three other Guerilla Front 3 members have already surrendered to 60IB. They are Emy Ansag Camilo alias Maika, Logistics Officer; GF3 elements Nilo Oyda Moluhinday alias Bukay, 65 years-old and Reyan Bagubay Moluhinday alias Monsor, 21 years old.
It can be recalled that on February 26, 2022, Catarata’s son who is also the Commanding Officer of GF 3, Renard Galos Catarata alias “SM” together with 12 others surrendered to 60IB bringing along with their high-powered firearms.
The surrender of its top leadership and members will consequently lead to the dismantling of GF3 operating in the tri-boundaries of Agusan Sur, Davao De Oro and Davao Del Norte.
