From Panay News (Nov 18, 2021): AFP demos firepower in Antique, Capiz drills (By Panay News)
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is holding today a military exercise dubbed “DAGIT-PA” (dagat/sea, langit/sky, lupa/land) in the northern coastal municipality of Patnongon.
Yesterday, there was a live firing and urban operation exercise by the government forces at Camp Peralta, Jamindan in Capiz.
The fifth one for 2021, “DAGIT-PA” showcases the country’s military capabilities, said Captain Kim Apitong of the Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry Division.
In Patnongon, the one-day joint exercise will be held at La Parola Beach Resort because of its being a suitable area for the amphibious capability demonstration, he said.
The amphibious capability demonstration, which will showcase the latest military assets from shore to land, will be participated in by the Philippine Marines, Naval Special Operation Units, Philippine Army, Air Force, and Philippine Navy Reservists.
Apitong said the joint exercise further aims to develop interoperability among the military forces of the government.
“La Parola Beach Resort in Patnongon had been chosen as the site for the Antique exercise because the vicinity is not heavily populated and there is a good viewing site from the shore for those who will be coming for the event,” he added.

Organizers expect the local chief executives (LCEs) in the province and other guests to witness their capability demonstration.
Apitong said they released information ahead of the event so that the public would be aware and won’t panic when they see various military assets of the government in the province.
