Lieutenant Colonel Eugene Henry Z. Cabusao, Commanding Officer of 3rd Mechanized Infantry Battalion, attributed the successful surrender of the seven (7) CNT in the Barrio as the result of the “Bayanihan” of different agencies of the government geared towards ending the local armed conflict.

On his part, LTC Cabusao commended the bravery of the CNT in the Barrio for taking a decision that would change their path in life.

The Acting Commander of the 7th Infantry (KAUGNAY) Division, Philippine Army Brigadier General Luis Rex D. Bergante PA, commended the local peace engagement efforts of the MTF-ELCAC San Jose that resulted in the influx of voluntary surrender of CNT in the Barrio.

He also called on the local officials of the remaining conflict-affected communities to push the programs of the government to end the local insurgency.

“The LGU through the MTF-ELCAC has a vital role in addressing the local insurgency in the community. Kaya naman, we in the Army is here support all your peace and development programs. We have to be aggressive in our campaign in the grassroots lalong lalo na magpapasko na.
