BULALACAO, Oriental Mindoro, May 17 (PIA) -- The Municipal Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (MTF-ELCAC) conducted a two-day immersion on May 13 -14 with Hanunuo Mangyans in Brgy. Benli, this town.
The activity is a Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP) aiming to achieve the objectives of Pres. Rodrigo Duterte’s Executive Order No. 70 or the whole-of-nation approach to ELCAC in the country.
The term ‘bayanihan’ itself means cooperative undertaking which refers to the spirit of communal unity, work and cooperation to achieve a particular goal.
Mayor Ernilo C. Villas spearheaded the caravan together with the local government officials and national government agencies such as Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army, State University, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Technical Education Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) and the AKAYIN Group.

Among the services provided to the beneficiaries of the program include free mobile birth and marriage registration, processing of PhilHealth application, police clearance application, free Mayor’s affidavit, distribution of birthday gifts for the senior citizens, distribution of planting materials, registration to the Commission on Elections (Comelec), distribution of food packs, and early enrolment registration from the Mindoro State University (MinSU) Bulalacao Extension.
Likewise, TESDA allotted at least 25 scholars to the beneficiaries for the Masonry NC II with free allowance.
Mayor Villas said through the spirit of communal unity, peace and development in the country would be gradually achieved. (LTC/PIA-OrMin)
