MAGPET, COTABATO – Propelling Our Inherited Nation Through our Youth (POINTY) INC. in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Dangcagan and Army’s 72nd Infantry “Gabay” Battalion (72IB) facilitated and conducted the first “Dangcagan Youth Leadership Summit 2021” on May 05, 2021 and culminated on May 07, 2021 held at Dangcagan Central Elementary School.

The said activity with the theme “Makilahok at Manindigan para sa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran ng sa Kabataan sa Dangcagan” was steered thru series of group activities, discussions, lectures, open forum and team building activities that built camaraderie among the participants, develop good leadership potentials and good citizenship. It aims to strengthen and empower the youth as peace builders of our nation. It also aims to educate them with the current issues with regard to Youth Infiltration and Communist Terrorist Groups (CTGs) recruitment which is one of the main concerns of our government.

The activity was graced by the presence of Hon. Manuel Zubiri, Representative, 3rd District Bukidnon; Hon. Fruto B. Dandasan Jr, Municipal Mayor Dangcagan; Ms. Lalaine Ellacer, MLGOO; Lt. Col. Jose C Regonay Jr, Commander 72IB; PCpt Joseph Yabo, COP; Hon. Joseph Gipetacio, SK Federation President; Ms. Crill Joy Paligsa, Vice Pres. POINTY Bukidnon; Members of POINTY Bukidnon; SK Chairmen; Brgy Officials; Head and Teachers of DCES; and Troops and Officers of 72IB. It gave not only happiness and excitement to the participants but also gained, learned and instilled a new perspective in life as “Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan”.

“One of the main focus of our government is the empowerment of our youth. You are the future of our nation. You are the hope of our nation. Lets be the peace and change we all want to achieve in our country.” Hon. Manuel Zubiri said in his message.

In response, Lt. Col. Jose C Regonay Jr, assured that the unit will continue to support the programs, activities and projects intended for the youth. He assured that the unit will continue to collaborate with the government and Non-Government Agencies to give the youth more opportunities to empower and enhance themselves as peace builders of our country.
