The 601st Infantry Brigade of the Joint Task Force Central currently spearheaded the continuously military offensive against the Daulah Islamiah-Hassan Group (DI-HG) under terrorist leader Salahuddin Hassan alias Abu Saif/Abu Salman/Orak at the mountainous and remote area of Ampatuan, Maguindanao.

For the past few days, the skirmish which was started last March 22, 2021 obtained decisive results in favor of government forces including four (4) terrorist killed; recoveries of improvised explosive device (IED), IED components & bomb-making area; terrorists personal belongings; and overrun of enemy fortified encampment.
Further, said combat operation was launched and acted upon the reports of the communities in the area relative to the frequent sightings and extortion activities of terrorists group who were responsible of extortion and bombing activities in some areas of Central Mindanao.

Meanwhile, it was then the provincial government of Maguindanao established the “Agila Haven” program, a comprehensive integration program intended for the local terrorist groups, including DI-HG in the province to further entice them to return to the mainstream society and avail the social and livelihood packages program of PLGU-Maguindanao to begin a peaceful living together with their respective families.

“We still consider peaceful resolution of this continuing conflict in Maguindanao. The 601st Infantry Brigade currently intensify our collaboration to local government of Maguindanao to convince our misguided brothers to avail the “Agila Haven” program and end-up these decade-long conflict. We still hope that the members of DI-HG will embrace peace and live their normal life”, Brig. Gen. Roy Galido, commander of 601st Infantry Brigade said.

On the other hand, the Joint Task Force Central under the leadership of Maj. Gen. Juvymax Uy will continue carry out the military offensive while we give equal importance to the implementation of “Agila Haven” program of the provincial government in order to generate pressure against these terror groups, protect the community and further continue establish a develop and secured environment of Maguindanao province.
