6th ID Commander Presides the Donning of Ranks to Newly Promoted Officers

Maj. Gen. Juvymax R. Uy, Commander of 6th ID and Joint Task Force Central led the donning of ranks to four (4) newly promoted officers in a ceremony held at Kampilan Clubhouse, Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao on March 2, 2021.

Maj. Gen. Uy congratulated the following promotees after the donning of ranks: Lt. Col. Omar Orozco and Lt. Col. Roberto Breboneria to full-fledged Colonel; 2nd Lt. Henna Jullette Sergio and 2nd Lt. Cherry Collado to 1st Lieutenant.

"The donning of ranks manifests our recognition of our troops for their selfless service to our people. The morale of our troops is an essential factor in maintaining the peace in our area of responsibility”, Maj. Gen. Uy said in his message.

In the military, promotion to the next higher rank passes through a stringent and deliberate approval process, making those who have promoted a cut among the rest in terms of service reputation and accomplishments.
