BALER, AuroraA total of 57 enlisted personnel under the 91st Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army were promoted on Monday.

Lt. Col. Reandrew P. Rubio, battalion commander of 91st IB, led the donning of ranks to the newly-promoted enlisted personnel after the flag ceremony at their headquarters in Barangay Calabuanan here.

He said the newly-promoted enlisted personnel are a Master Sergeant (MSg), two Technical Sergeants (TSgt), 14 Staff Sergeants (SSG), 10 Sergeants (Sgt), 17 Corporals (Cpl) and 13 Privates First Class (PFC).


“Pinning of rank to the newly-promoted military personnel is one way of recognizing their efforts to the unit, both administrative and operational accomplishments that made them promoted to the next higher rank. Also, a motivating factor for others to work and strive hard towards the attainment of the unit's mission. I congratulate you for your dedication and devotion to duty,” Rubio said.

Newly promoted Master Sergeant Aldrin Gumabay, First Sergeant of Headquarters and Headquarters Company, thanked the 91st IB for the promotion as he vowed to do his best to serve the Filipino people and the country.

Ang promotion na ito ay hindi dagdag sahod o dekorasyon lamang, manapay dagdag na responsibilidad na dapat pagbutihan ang trabaho sampo ng aking mga kasama na na-promote at hiling ko lang sa mga kasama ko na ingatan natin ang ating ranggo (This promotion is not only for additional salary or decoration. It is an added responsibility that we must improve our work. I ask my newly-promoted fellow to let us take care our rank),” Gumabay said.
