DAVAO – Provincial information officers, multimedia specialists, and members of the communication team of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) from all over Region XI have gathered at the Davao De Oro Provincial Capitol to attend a Documentary Production Workshop hosted by the Philippine Information Agency (PIA XI) in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), the 10th Infantry Division and the Provincial Government of Davao De Oro.

The activity aims to prepare each province in Region XI to produce their respective documentaries on the experiences of former rebels and their transformed lives after receiving government interventions and services.

The workshop is in-line with Executive Order No. 70 or the whole-of-nation approach in ending local communist armed conflict (ELCAC) by showcasing stories from communities in the region to raise awareness of the threat of communist insurgencies to peace and order, and development in the community.

The workshop is part of the first phase activities to be followed by the production phase and the showing of these documentaries through the different platforms.
