August 5, 2020 – The men of Bravo Company, 7IB, led by 1LT JAYONA (INF) PA, under the leadership of LTC Romel S Valencia INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, conducted a combat clearing operation at two (2) separate targets of Brgy Kiadsam, Sen. Ninoy Aquino, Sultan Kudarat.
After an incurred information from a concerned citizen, TAPAT Troopers advanced to the target areas. From company base to the said barangay, they cleared the first location, and at the same day, furthered to the second target, where they searched and eventually cleared the area.
Among the recovered accouterments during the clearing operation were four (4) pieces of suspected IED anti pers (believed to be “Kapto”), and one (1) cutter.
The 7th Infantry TAPAT Battalion acknowledges the community’s effort in helping beat insurgencies in its area of operation. This is a major advantage for the government’s approach to fight terrorism through EO 70 or the ELCAC (Ending Local Communist Armed Conflict) through whole of nation approach.
It is proven effective in its steady recovery of terroristic materials used by the NPA. The shown support of the community in battling or fighting the communist terrorist is useful to end the terrorist group in the area.
