BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 28 (PIA) - The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has bared its infrastructure projects designed to lift the economic status of upland villagers of Ambaguio town.
Engineer Oscar Gumiran, DWPH 1st district chief said the infrastructure development projects are concrete roads, bridge, drainage systems, sanitary units, water system and multi-purpose buildings.
"Several projects are already on-going while others are to be implemented in 2021 through the Roads and Bridges Project (RBP)," he said.DPWH logo
Gumiran also said that the infrastructure projects are in support of the national government's End Local Communist Armed Conflict (ELCAC) convergence program.
The infrastructure projects will be done in barangays Lower Amweg, Lower Dulli road, Daang Maharlika Masoc - Mt. Pulag National Park access road, Poblacion and Labang.
Gumiran also added that these projects are intended to promote health and wellness, provide better water system, facility for elderlies, better accessibility and mobility between barangays, ensure stability in soil erosion - prone areas through slope protection structures and safer and faster mobility of farmers who usually cross rivers.
Provincial ELCAC members have identified three barangays of upland Ambaguio town as influenced by the communist movement.
The projects lined up by the DPWH to Ambaguio town is part of the ELCAC's infrastructure and resource management cluster component to uplift the lives of the upland villagers. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
