The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has welcomed into the military reserve force Maguindanao Gov. Bai Mariam Mangudadatu and Mayor Datu Pax Ali Mangudadatu of Datu Abdullah Sangki town.
Gov. Mangudadatu has been commissioned as reserve Lieutenant Colonel while Mayor Mangudadatu as reserve captain of the Philippine Army.
Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, commander of the Western Mindanao Command (Westmincom), led the donning of ranks of the two officials held Wednesday at the provincial capitol in Buluan, Maguindanao.
“You are truly indispensable in our genuine campaign. Your role, as citizen soldiers, forges greater alliance and amelioration of gains, as your civic and military service gives the Bangsamoro people a strong and patriotic vision and encouragement. You have, in your hands, the capacity to lead, enlighten, and guide your constituents,” Sobejana said.
“I am certain that the ranks conferred on you will impel you to do more and not rest on your laurels,” he added.
The donning of ranks ceremony was witnessed by Sultan Kudarat Gov. Suharto Mangudadatu, Col. Redentor Mojares, 12th Regional Community Defense Group commander, and other police and military officials.
