Talaingod, Davao del Norte / November 4, 2019 – Lawless Group composed of 10 fully armed individuals signifies intention to surrender thru the forces of 56IB and 88IB at So. Gamot, Brgy Sta Felomina, Quezon, Bukidnon last Saturday, November 2, 2019 and later transported the said group to Headquarters 56th Infantry (TATAG) Battalion at Brgy Sto Niño, Talaingod, Davao del Norte for initial profiling and proper turn over of custody.

In the initial profiling to the said group conducted by the 56IB and Talaingod MPS on November 3, 2019, they later found out that the group belongs to the Ata-Manobo tribe that leads Hon Jonnie A Libayao, Mayor of Talaingod to take the custody of the said outlaws to the local government of Talaingod..

The surrenderees turn over (11) high powered firearms and (1) GL 40mm M203 grenade launcher, (73) long magazines, (17) short magazines; (5) rifle grenades; (4) hand grenades, (1) anti-personnel mine; (31) cartridges of 40mm HE M2O3; 2,277 rounds of 5.56mm ball; (3) rolls of assorted wires; (10) bandoleers; (4) commercial radios, assorted medical paraphernalia and personal belongings.

After the conduct of turn over of custody, Governor Edwin I Jubahib visited the said group and subsequently handover some cash incentives for their decision to turn to the folds of the law and meanwhile elaborated that the Province of Davao del Norte will give assistance for their transition back to mainstream society. “Tama ang inyong desisyon na magkusang loob na sumuko sa mga otoridad sapagkat walang saysay ang matagal ninyong pagtatago sa kabundukan kung hindi n’yo naman kapiling ang inyong pamilya at pinaka mahirap pa doon ay laging nasa peligro ang inyong mga buhay” Gov Jubahib said.
