MARIHATAG, Surigao del Sur – Another CNT member voluntarily surrendered to the troops of 3rd Special Forces (ARROWHEAD) Batallion, Special Forces Regiment (Airborne), Philippine Army.

A certain @ Junrix 18 years old, single, a resident of Brgy Mahaba, Marihatag, Surigao Del Sur, member of Pltn8, WGF19, NEMRC voluntarily surrendered and along with him is one (1) M16A1 rifle attached with m203 Grenade Launcher with defaced serial number. The surrender of @ Junrix was made possible because of consistent dialogue of the Patrol Base Commander to the relatives of the surenderee and the result of effort under COPLAN Canopy II of 3SFBN. @Junrix said, he surrendered because of fear of being kill due to relentless Focus Military Operation (FMO) in the area, he is tired of running and hiding, he thinks about his family, and he want to change for the better for his future and live a life without fear and terror.

Thru the continues effort and program of the government for the members of CNT who opted to return to the folds of the law, @ Junrix will be provided an immediate assistance, enroll to Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP), his firearm will be process for Firearm Renumeration, enroll to TESDA training and avail appropriate Livelihood programs that will help him to start a new life in an environment with peace and development.

LTC JOEY B BAYBAYAN INF (GSC) PA, Commander, 3SFBN said, : I am very grateful to see that another CNT member surrender, it is a manifestation of our relentless efforts in winning the peace in the area. We want nothing but peace, we urge other CNT members to lay down their arms and avail the programs of the government and live a peaceful life with your family.”
