Officials of the town signed Resolution 044 to mark the town’s 71st anniversary last July 1.
Local officials headed by Mayor Richard Jaojoco, 79th Infantry Battalion commander Lt. Col. Emelito Thaddeus Logan, and Police Maj. John Mocyat Jr., acting battalion commander of 6th Special Action Battalion of the Philippine National Police Special Action Force, led the signing.
The resolution had been approved during the regular session of the municipal council last June 25.
Under the resolution, Toboso town condemns “the illegal and unlawful activities of the CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) as it threatens the economic, social and political stability of the municipality and its people.”
Logan commended the town government for its action against the communist terrorist group who destroys peace and development, as well as the lives of people in the area.
Last May 30, San Carlos City also passed Resolution No. 19-139, denouncing the atrocities perpetuated by the NPAs in the country and not to allow their presence in the city.
